Jenni DeWitt
Christian Author
Well, hello there! When you were a kid, did you love a good ghost story? If so, then we would have been friends. Creepy stories have always intrigued me. I just love the way they explore the unseen world.
But circa 2014, every time I visited the YA section of the library with my son, it wore on me how many occult books lined the shelves. Let's be real, our faith offers an incredible insight into the spiritual world. We don't have to go digging around on the dark side.
So I decided to try my hand at writing captivating supernatural thrillers that don't abandon faith. It only took me ten years to get that first book written and published. The second book happened in a year, and I'm still trucking along writing in the cracks and crevices of life to create as many books as I can.
If you enjoy Frank Peretti, Ted Dekker, or Jaime Jo Wright, you’ll likely feel right at home with the books I write.
What I Write
I write Christian supernatural thrillers—stories where faith collides with fear, the spiritual realm intersects with everyday life, and ordinary people discover extraordinary courage through God’s presence.
My books are:
- suspenseful and gripping
- spiritually rich
- emotionally honest
- filled with hope
- clean (no profanity, no graphic gore, no sexual content)
They explore:
- spiritual warfare
- God’s presence in silence
- identity, purpose, and calling
- overcoming fear
- healing and redemption
I believe thriller fiction doesn’t have to be dark, disturbing, or hopeless. It can be intense and uplifting. It can leave you breathless and closer to God.
Who My Books Are For
Readers tell me they come to my books when they are:
- longing for exciting stories that still honor faith
- craving thrillers without gore, profanity, or graphic content
- fascinated by spiritual warfare and the unseen realm

Why I Write This Kind of Story
I believe God is always at work even when we can’t see Him and even when the darkness feels overwhelming. I write to remind people that:
- faith matters
- prayer changes things
- the spiritual world is real
- God never abandons us
- light always wins
My hope is that my stories don’t just entertain you…they strengthen you, encourage you, and whisper truth to your heart when you need it most.

Final Words
I hope you and I meet in person some day and you tell me all your creepiest ghost stories. But, until then, we'll have to settle for the interwebs. And, let's be honest, it's easy to drift from one thing to another online. So take a quick moment to enter your first name and email on my fancy pants form [coming soon] so we don't lose track of each other.
I'll send you sporadic book updates and would love to hear from you too. I promise I will read your email and respond. I do not promise to be quick about it. Ask my family, I'm the slowest responder you've ever met. I tried to fix it. No luck yet.
But, honestly, one of my absolute favorite things about writing is when someone pauses at my booth at a book fair to chat, and they end up telling me all their best, creepiest stories. So let's do that! Just hit reply to any email I send you, and you'll be able to reach me.
